Our foundation has been founded by 4 friends who have their passion in golf.
In 2018 we competed for the first time in, what we found, the best Amateur Golf tournement, WAGC and in the next year we had the license of WAGC Ltd. for Surinam, a small golf country situated on the northcoast of South-America.
Since our country has a population of just about 600,000 people and just one 9 holes golf course and about 200 golf members, it’s rather challenging to organize a qualifying tournament. A lot of Surinam people also live in the Netherlands that’s why we decided that these Surinam’s, with a birthplace in Suriname, could also qualify for the Championship.
This year (2020) the planning was that we would compete with 5 players for the WAGC and 7 players for the WAGI. Since the tournament is cancelled that won’t be possible, but next year (and all the coming) we will be there for sure and we will try to let more Surinam players compete in this great tournament.
