The 6th annual World Golfers Championship, the millennium edition, took place in Orlando, Florida the “event capital” of the world at the Hyatt Grand Cypress. We played on two of Grand Cypress’ courses and two of Disney World’s.
Walt Disney World and Epcot Center were some of the local attractions we enjoyed during the week with evening highlights such as the spectacular millennium firework celebrations of Disney lighting up the sky.

Grand Cypress North/South Course features terraced fairways, generous landing areas, mounds and platformed greens with yawning bunkers.

Grand Cypress New Course is set in an open meadow with difficult bunkers and slopes. Inspired by St. Andrews Old Course, the New Course has deep pot bunkers, double greens, a snaking creek, stone walls and even a stone bridge.

Disney’s Magnolia’s beautifully manicured links are named for an abundance of fragrant Magnolias. Elevated tees, spacious greens and tranquil water hazards immerse you in a natural setting fit for a fulfilling round of championship golf.

Designed in classic Tour style, this championship course is the longest of the Walt Disney World Resort golf courses.

Named for its majestic magnolia trees, this course features elevated tees, spacious greens and challenging water hazards. Wide fairways invite you to hit the ball and hit it long, but beware—11 of the 18 holes boast water hazards and 97 bunkers dot the landscape.

Certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary and rated 4 stars by Golf Digest, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course represents a paradise for serious golfers, as well as a thrilling challenge for players at all levels.

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course winds its way through pastel villas, pine forests, palmettos and sparkling lakes. It’s a classic country-club course where you tee off next to boats and canals and enjoy views of an enchanting lighthouse..
