Importance of Sports in Business

The highlight of the forum was the Importance of Sport in Business and how various companies use sports to reach out to their customers, how they benefit from media and other advertisements. Not only do many businesses invest money in the fields of sport, but they also conduct a large part of their businesses whilst sporting, such as serious discussions while playing a game of golf. This is a very positive way of doing business, as they get to relax, test each others skills, temper, general characteristics, thus improving relations and understanding between the partners.

This relation between sport and business also keeps sport alive, through sponsors which fuel capital for maintenance and expansion. This is a very positive thing, not only for the worlds of business and sport, but for the general relations between individuals and nations, as business keeps nations alive and sports improves motivation and enlightens the spirit.

A part of the forum focused on the Stockholm 2004 Summer Olympic Bid. Support was given by Olympic gold medallists from various countries.
